Netflix just released the trailer for the upcoming Marvel's The Defenders and I might say it is awesome.
Marvel's The Defender will team up Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist as they face a common enemy, The Hand.
The trailer shows Jessica Jones (Ritter) interrogated by Misty Knight (Missick) but interrupted by Matt Murdock (Cox) as he introduces himself as her lawyer. It also showed a confrontation between Luke Cage (Colter) and Danny Rand (Jones) who appears to have found their match at each other and later mediated by Claire Temple (Dawson).
It also introduces Sigourney Weaver as Alexandra, the main antagonist that have pulled the four characters to work together. It appears that she might be a leader of The Hand, which have been a recurring villain in the Daredevil and Iron Fist series. Stick, played by Scott Glenn appears to be unifying the four against The Hand and Elektra (Yung) might be one of the villain they have to fight.
The trailer comes great with music from Nirvana's Come As You Are. Seriously, are they keeping up with what the Justice League trailer's "Come Together" that they are using Nirvana?
Marvel's The Defender will premier in Netflix on August 18 with eight episodes. It stars Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter and Finn Jones. It also includes supporting characters from their respective series such as Simone Missick (Misty Knight) from Luke Cage; Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Scott Glenn (Stick) and Elodie Yung (Elektra) from Daredevil; Carrie-Ann Moss (Jeri Hogart) and Rachel Taylor (Trish Walker) from Jessica Jones; Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing) from Iron Fist; and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple) who appeared on all four series.
